Michael Darmiento
Senior Analyst

Mr. Darmiento is a Senior Analyst and has responsibility for managing the Firm’s investments in the consumer, retail, leisure, and logistics sectors. He has 9 years of investment and restructuring transaction experience and has invested across asset classes, including high yield bonds, leveraged loans, distressed / special situations, and equities in both long-only and total return strategies.

Mr. Darmiento joined Elmwood from Nassau Global Credit, where he was a Director of Restructuring, overseeing stressed and distressed positions within that firm’s portfolios. Mr. Darmiento also invested across both opportunistic and liquid credit investment vehicles across sectors.

Prior to Nassau, Mr. Darmiento was an Investment Analyst at Farallon Capital Management, where he was responsible for investing across the capital structure with a primary focus on distressed and opportunistic corporate credit, equity, and special situations as a generalist. Mr. Darmiento began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Restructuring group at Lazard.

Mr. Darmiento graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors from the University of Chicago in 2016 with a B.A. in Philosophy.
