Angela Schmith
Senior Analyst

Ms. Schmith is a Senior Analyst and has primary responsibility for managing the Firm’s investments in the auto, power/utilities, education, and business services sectors. She has 9 years of investment experience across high yield and distressed corporate credit, CDS, and equities in both long-only and long/short strategies.

Ms. Schmith joined Elmwood from Aurelius Capital Management where she was responsible for investing across the capital structure with a primary focus on stressed and distressed corporate credit, common equity and CDS across a variety of sectors.

Prior to Aurelius, Ms. Schmith was an investment analyst in the Credit Alternatives group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she invested in high yield corporate credit across long-only and long/short strategies across a variety of sectors (focused mainly on telecom, technology, and chemicals).

Ms. Schmith graduated with Highest Distinction from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015 with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Mathematics.
