Mr. Hinman is a Senior Analyst and has responsibility for managing the Firm’s investments in the healthcare and business services sectors. He has 19 years of experience investing across performing, opportunistic, long/short, distressed, and private credit mandates.
Mr. Hinman joined Elmwood from Black Diamond Capital Management, where he was a Managing Director investing across the capital structure in healthcare, business services, and financial sectors in the U.S. and Europe.
Prior to Black Diamond, Mr. Hinman was a Healthcare Analyst at Citadel, where he focused on a long/short market neutral credit strategy with leveraged loans, high yield and investment grade bonds, and levered public equities. Before Citadel, he was a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare for Liquid Credit at Apollo Management with responsibilities across healthcare facilities, services, technology, managed care, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. Prior to Apollo, Mr. Hinman was focused on private equity and opportunistic credit investing at Stone Tower Capital. Mr. Hinman began his career in the Healthcare Investment Banking division at Bank of America.
Mr. Hinman graduated from the Honors College at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI in 2005 with a B.A. in Accounting.
